Summer's nearing an end....

Seems like the summers just arrived...and already it's come to an end. I can't believe that Labor Day is right around the corner!! Although I'm never sad to see the hot humid days leave us and am excited for what Fall has to bring, I will miss our summer nights down at Plymouth. Wednesday nights Tyler and I have ventured down to the waterfront to enjoy a night of music, something we do every summer. Last night was the final night. It's always such a peaceful and relaxing time for us...a time to just enjoy! They will be missed.....

Tyler really has a wonderful time...as you can see. He dances the night away...he must gets his dance moves from his father!!! Where does he come up with this stuff!?!

It's amazing how time flies....

Earlier today I was sitting outside watching Tyler playing in the driveway, enjoying the beautiful day. I started trying to remember what the view used to look like only a few short years ago. It's amazing to me that as things change we tend to look at things as if they have always been that way, forgetting the past. It was only 3 years ago...yet I look at the pictures of what once was and I barely recognize it.
Do you remember?

The 100+ year old barn....It must have been such a beautiful barn in it's "hay" day. The neighbors tell us stories of how it use to house the neighborhood barn dances way back when. What a shame that time took it's toll on it. From the front it looked old but at least it was standing....the side on the other hand....Down came the barn

Up went it's modern day replacement...

Still, it really was a nice barn. I just wanted to think back to it's glory days...days that are far different from todays. It's nice to look back every once and awhile.

Little Gym Grad!

Tyler has been going to the Little Gym for the past 20 weeks and they just finished up their fall classes and had their Show day and awards this past Tuesday. For those that don't know, the Little Gym provides an hour long gymnastics class for kids once a week where they learn how to tumble and get to play with others. The Show day was adorable and each child got to showcase their talents and perform solo in front of everyone. This first video is of Tyler doing the floor exercises...

Then it was off to the balance beam. Now, in the weekly classes Tyler tries to skip balance beam activities every time. He's not to comfortable on it...but put a crowd in front of him and he's ready to perform!

Then we have the high bars...Tyler NEVER does these! Miss. Bethany (instructor in video) tries every week to get him on here...but to no avail. The Little Gym is really great because they always encourage but never force the children to do anything they don't want. While we sat and watched the other children perform Tyler kept whispering to me "I don't want to do that" to which I would reply "if you don't want to do it just let Miss Bethany know" Well, of course when he gets up there my words turned into "mom says not to do that" What?? I love how kids translate!

After all the performing was done, off to get their medals!! Here's Tyler marching in...

This one is my favorite...he acts so cool and collected when he gets his medal...but watch his face moments after
